THE”GREEK” MYTHOLOGY IS NOT GREEK
It is familiar and accepted that what is known as “Greek” mythology today is to a great extent based on the Egyptian pantheon. However, what the main science does not recognize is the Pelasgian ancient Macedonian and proto-Slavic legacy which is imbued in the so-called “Greek” mythology. I will give my explanation why what is referred to as “Greek” mythology owes so much to the Egyptian pantheon. This explanation will substantiate my argument about the transformation of the Pelasgian mythological legacy into what is called today “Greek” mythology. Firstly, it’s necessary to explain why “Greek” is put under inverted commas. I use inverted commas or I write “so-called” before “Greek”, because at that time towards the end of the first millennium BC, the Greeks had not existed. The term “Greeks” began to be used much, much later, in the nineteenth century. In ancient times that I talk about, the entire Macedonian (today Balkan) peninsula, including the present Greek territory, had been inhabited by Pelasgs or Belasgs who used to be indigenous population. The ancient Macedonians had belonged to the big Pelasgian family and had been from a proto-Slavic stock. I will be proving this claim in this and the other posts by means of onomastics, toponymy, mythology and linguistics. However, believe it or not, to prove my claim, I refer to a Greek by birth who describes in precise details the arrival of the first non-indigenous population on the Balkan Peninsula. It’s about the ancient Greek tragedian Aeschylus, (525/524 – c. 456/455 BC). In his play “The Suppliants”, performed sometime after 470 BC, he describes the arrival of the first non-indigenous population in the Balkan Peninsula which had happened a couple of centuries before his time. According to Aeschylus, the entire Balkan peninsula in the ancient time had been inhabited by the white Pelasgian or Belastian people – Pelasgs or Belasts. The Greeks do not have the letter “b” so that they recorded them as Pelasgs, but they were actually Belasts. The word “bela” even in modern Macedonian means “white”. The Pelasgs or Belasts were the white Venetian people of proto-Slavic stock. The Pelasgs or Belasts had been indigenous people of ancient Greece and Macedonia. According to Aeschylus, the newcomers, the first non-indigenous population of the Balkans, were the Danaids who had come from Egypt. The two brothers Danai and Egypt had been the founders of the Danaids and Egyptians respectively. Aeschylus describes them as people dressed in white clothes in contrast with their black complexion. It’s worth mentioning in this context that the proper name “Egypt” is most probably the etymological root of the words “Egjupjani” “Guptsi”, used in Macedonian even today. These Danaids, who are precisely described by the ancient Greek tragedian as having black complexion, are the actual ancestors of the present-day Greeks. The present-day Greeks with dominant Pelasgian genes have fairer complexion. However, the largest number of Greeks have mulatto looks which is due to the mixing of the Danaids and Pelasgs. If Aeschylus’s claim that the Danaids had come from Egypt is true, then it’s no wonder that they had brought on the Balkan Peninsula the cult of the Egyptian deities. However, what is more important for us is that they also accepted and started worshipping the ancient Macedonian deities of the indigenous population on the Balkans which they started mixing with. In the next posts (articles) I’ll be proving the claim that the co-called “Greek” is to a great extent ancient MACEDONIAN mythology, that is, the newcomers also accepted the deities of the indigenous ancient Macedonian people that belonged to the big Pelasgian family and were of a proto-Slavic stock.
